Sculptors from across South East Queensland working with clay, wood, metal, stone & found objects are participating in the 2014 Sculpture on the Edge (SOTE). Installation of work is from 9 September to 29 October 2014.

Funding from the Regional Arts Development Fund enabled the 2014 program to include a week of interactive activities. Maleny artist Corrie Wright lead a group of ephemeral artists in creating artwork on site at Tamarind from Thursday 25 September to Wednesday 1 October.

spicers sculpture award
This year ACI joined Spicers in launching the inaugural Spicers Sculpture Award.

The peoples’ choice awards are still open, you can register your vote at Tamarind reception. The $500 award will be presented on 31 October 2014.

Sculpture on the Edge 2014 is proud to be associated with Sunshine Coast Destination’s festival, “HinterLand – a celebration of place, arts and creativity”, taking place in many different venues from 19 September to 26 Octonber 2014.
Now in its second year, HinterLand unites a myriad of artists, makers and performers for a six week festival spectacular. There’s never been a better time to visit the hinterland!
Spicers Tamarind Retreat, in Maleny, will again host this yearly event.
