jazz in july - mulled wine and more
On Friday July 5th, Arts Connect Inc. members will hold another networking evening at the Tree Frog Gallery, on Balmoral Rd, Maleny. This follows the very successful evening they enjoyed with friends in April, when soprano Louise Kennedy and harpist and tenor, Kim Kirkman brought a very special magic to the gathering.
President, Judy Berlak and her Committee members invite you to welcome in the winter with mulled wine, tasty finger food and music to warm the heart.
The evening kicks off at 5pm with the Group "The Many More 4" bringing us their special brand of Jazz and song. Entrance fee $15 covers delicious food, wine, music and a double chance to win the 2 great raffle prizes.
1st Prize is a collectors teaset from famous Australian potter Ivan Englund donated by Gretchen Evans, and 2nd Prize a beautiful semi-precious stone and silver pendant made and donated by member Pauline Reckentin.
supporting ARTists & CONNECTing communities
Arts Connect Inc. (ACI) supports and promotes the practice and enjoyment of the arts across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, in Queensland’s south-east.
We coordinate a wide range of activities that provide opportunities for artists to exhibit and sell their works.
ACI is a not-for-profit organisation and membership is open to everyone – artist, art lover or patron. We continually search for opportunities to expand our members’ professional development and marketing potential.
Our goal is to establish and promote the hinterland as a unique ‘arts destination’, and to stimulate a greater understanding of the arts within local communities.
We have developed several signature events over the last few years and are always open to new ideas and opportunities.
The Sunshine Coast Hinterland Open Studios program has been a great success attracting over 1700 visits to a diverse range of studios throughout the Blackall Range.
Sculpture of the Edge has developed into a great opportunity for sculptors to showcase their larger works in the beautiful setting of Spicers Tamarind Retreat over a 10 week period from September to November.
Members Exhibitions are regularly held in local galleries as group exhibitions that allow members to showcase their work in a supportive environment.
